Swiss Boulder Action!

Right now I don't find the time to write much but still I want to post some lines about our Boulder trip to Ticino in March.

Together with Raf, Fabi and Anne I spend 4 great days bouldering in Chironico and Cressiano with cold but nice weather! It was a lot of fun and a great start into the climbing season since winter did not allow much outside climbing action at home before we drove to Switzerland.

Overall we were really lucky with the great weather since only days before leaving Bayreuth the  forecast was still changing between really cool and snow to cold and dry to warmer and rainy and we were in doubt if we should go on not (For the Frankenjura and Germany it predicted snow and really ugly weather, so we decided it could only be better than at home!). Anonother plus was that we had the Hostel in Cressiano with a big Kitchen and living room nearly all by ourselfs. The only down part was Raf's digestion sickness he had brought back from his surf trip to Morocco the week before, but this did't stopp him from bouldering. After this trip we all agreed that we have to come back!

Unfortunately the weather also change on the last day so we chased the "Föhn" and the sun to the north side of the alps and hit "Kochel am See" for another Boulder session. Quite a contrast to have limestone underneath your fingertips after 4 days of granite bouldering!

Here you find some pictures from Ticino and here from Kochel

For all able to read german, check out Raf's Blog for some more detail.

On Raf's Blog you can also find some picture and stories about the start into the climbing season here in the Frankenjura!
