After the heavy snowfall of this week, the weather started to look really great yesterday. Everything was perfect for a quick tour up Ochsenkopf to start into this years skiing season.
While the fog was still hovering above Bayreuth we started under nearly clear sky in Bischofsgrün. The tour up was easy since we could use some tracks from people who even got up earlier than we did. It was quite cold, the trees packed in a heavy snow coats, but the sun was shining. What a gorgeous morning. Unfortunately the run was already groomed, even though the lift is still closed, so no powder as we hoped. But the freshly groomed run just for us. Not bad for a start into the season.
